Retention of a Diverse Education Workforce through Workplace Inclusion
(Course Coming Soon)
Course Description
In an increasingly diverse world, many employment positions continue to struggle with underrepresentation. While many employers claim to hire the “best candidate” for the position, we know from decades of research that bias influences hiring practices in ways that promote non-performance-related exclusion. This course is designed to provide employers with the tools for inclusive recruitment and selection without sacrificing excellence. The course places emphasis on both the theory and practice of hiring for inclusive excellence and employing humanized talent management strategies.
Learning Objectives
1. Gain strategies for engaging effectively with diversity and difference in the educational workforce,
2. Develop the skills to conduct social and organizational change
3. Develop an understanding of the significance of diversity, equity and inclusion, as it relates to employee work satisfaction and performance,
4. Develop strategies to address and prevent harassment and discrimination
